Scott inspires excellence as a leader, educator, speaker, mentor and coach. Scott has facilitated learning in a variety of topics in both higher education and private sector arenas globally. Scott is currently in his 38th year as a faculty member at Phoenix College, the flagship institution of the Maricopa Community College District in Phoenix, Arizona. In addition to his faculty position, Scott served the college for 17 years as the Director of Athletics. Scott serves as a facilitation team member of The Chair Academy, an organization dedicated to advancing excellence in organizational leadership globally through workshops, coaching, mentoring, and publication.
Scott received a B.A.S from Arizona State University in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters of Administration with a Leadership emphasis from Northern Arizona University, is a Certified Gallup Strengths Educator and Appreciative Inquiry, DisC Everything, and Interest Based Negotiations Facilitator.
In 2004 Scott was awarded the honor of Athletic Director of the Year by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and in 2007 was acknowledged by the National Junior College Athletic Association with its prestigious Loyalty Award. In 2009 Scott was named an Exemplary Leader at the International Chair Academy Leadership Conference, the same year the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators honored Scott with their highest professional award, the L. William Miller Award recognizing athletics administration excellence at the two year level.
