Ann Krause-Hanson

Ann Krause-Hanson is currently the Vice President Institutional Development at Waukesha Technical College in Pewaukee Wisconsin. Prior to this position Ann was Vice President of Academic Affairs at Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. She taught both secondary and post secondary mathematics in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and served as the Dean of General Education and Dean of Health, Human and Protective Services at Blackhawk Technical College (BTC). In addition, she co-chaired BTC’s last Higher Learning Commission North Central Association accreditation self-study process (2000).

Ann received her BS.Ed (math major, psychology minor) from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater in 1974 summa cum laude. She earned her MEPD (math education emphasis) also from UW-Whitewater in 1990. She completed her PhD in December 2009 at the University of Wisconsin ‘ Madison in the Education

Ann is a frequent speaker at conferences for organizations such as The Chair Academy, ACTE, WACTE, and the Wisconsin Math Council, Inc. She serves as a facilitator for The Chair Academy for Leadership and Development as well as the Advanced Academy. She has presented week long workshops on applied mathematics for K-12 math, science, and technology teachers at the Cray, Sally Ride, and Washburn Academies. Ann co-facilitated middle school mathematics workshops at Millersville University in Pennsylvania for two summers.
